After the speech on Monday, on the whole, I finished the speech smoothly, but I didn’t feel satisfied. This is my first Pecha Kucha. I think Pecha Kucha is a very interesting way to talk about my research and ideas. This fast-paced and photo-based speech requires us to clearly describe what we want to express in a limited time, which is a huge challenge for me.
Although before the speech, I sorted out the content in detail and deleted the content, I still left some regrets. First of all, the main reason is that the idea is still not thoughtful, does not reflect the novel idea, the research is also based on the phenomenon that we all know, lack of highlights. The word insight was mentioned in the feedback from the professors, which reflected the issue of my whole speech and design ideas. Secondly, after comparing the speeches of the students who did the same topic research, they found the limitations of their concerns. I thought about this topic with preconceptions, paid too much attention to the solutions in terms of consumption motivation, and ignored the perspective of consumption environment and post-consumption behavior. Finally, the words may be inappropriate, which deviates from the idea I want to convey. It does not accurately express the reason why I want to do so. I missed the chance to communicate.
Through this speech, many problems are exposed. This is also a good opportunity to understand what I lack. I think it can make me better solve these problems. In the next speech, I will pay more attention to the accuracy of words and make the content more interesting. Also very timely help me adjust the idea about Part 2.
