In recent years, Marine pollution has intensified. News about Marine creatures choking to death by plastic entanglements often appears, and a large amount of water resources and biological resources have been polluted. But people still use plastic on a large scale. I would like to start with the perspective of plastic bags to call on people to pay attention to Marine pollution, reduce the use of plastic bags. My target audience is people who live far away from the ocean and have no concept of plastic pollution in the ocean.

In the process of research and design, the challenges are:
- There is no suitable substitute. Plastic bags are the most cost-effective among the existing items, even current biodegradable materials are no greener than plastic bags.
- There are no relevant laws to restrain people’s behavior.
- The ocean is so far away from people’s real-life that people cannot directly experience or see the pollution caused by plastic.
I also have the following challenges while making the film:
- I have never used video software, so it took me some time to get familiar with it
- There will be a discrepancy between expectations and reality. Such as I am trying to take a video of plastic bags flowing into the sea, and the shoreline at Southampton has become low that itis impossible to reach.
- As an introvert, I had to overcome my fear when I was shooting in a crowded place.
In a word, I enjoy the process of finding and solving problems, because it makes me progress.
